The Russian-backed Fifth Corps has established new points in the towns of (Al-Tabiyah Jazirah, Khasham, Marat and Hatla) east of Deir Ezzor, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 Network.
Our reporter said that the Corps seeks to establish these points to tighten surveillance to limit the operations of the Revolutionary Guard militia targeting the International Coalition base in the “Conoco Gas Plant”.
The Corps had recently opened the door to joining its ranks and increased the number of its members as part of the Russian-Iranian competition to dominate the region in Deir Ezzor.
