12 civilians were killed, and several others were wounded, following airstrikes against the town of Al-Tabani, in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.
A D24 correspondent said that the airstrikes resulted in the death and injury of many civilians, including members of the family of Abdul Razaq Al-Ibrahim Al-Baaj and the family of Hamud Farhan Al-Darwish. He added that air raids hit Al-Tabani and Al-Buwayta towns west of Deir Ezzor as well as the city of Maadan in eastern Raqqa. The air strikes lasted from the afternoon of yesterday to today’s dawn.
The strikes have destroyed dozens of houses and facilities and forced many civilians to leave their towns and move to the town of Shumeitiyah and the villages of al Zair and Kharitah.
The displaced are facing severe humanitarian conditions due to the lack of any shelter and the absence of health care due to the lack of medical staff and medicines.
Russian and Assad warplanes have intensified in the eastern countryside of Raqqa and western Deir Ezzor to pave the way for Assad’s forces and allied militias who are based in the town of Ghanim Ali in eastern Raqqa and the area of Thlithiwat in the southwestern desert of Deir Ezzor.
