DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

The Fourth Division allowed several fuel traders to open warehouses inside the city of Al-Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, according to a reporter of the DeirEzzor24 network.

Our reporter said that the division stipulated that these traders limit their purchases only from the affiliated fuel yard in the village of Baqras, east of Deir Ezzor.

He added that the Fourth Division assumed responsibility for escorting oil tankers inside Deir Ezzor in general, and also set up points to monitor smuggling operations not affiliated with it within the city and its countryside, to limit the fuel trade and smuggling in the hands of the division and increase its financial income.

These measures by the Fourth Division angered the 17th Division and the National Defense Militia because most of their members worked in smuggling, which could cause clashes between the two parties at any moment.
