DeirEzzor24 exclusive report

The Russian-backed Fifth Corps strengthened its ranks in Deir Ezzor with 450 members, according to a DeirEzzor24 network local reporter.

According to our reporter, the members were distributed at a rate of 150 members in each of the Fifth Brigade in the six villages east of the Euphrates and the military airport, the sixth in the Al-Mayadeen area, the seventh on the Deir Ezzor-Damascus road, and in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor, and recruitment is still open for its ranks in the affiliation offices in each of the Hatla offices and the cities of Deir Ezzor and Al-Mayadeen.

The intense recruitment of the Fifth Corps comes as a result of the recent demobilization of a number of conscripted soldiers, in addition to the Russian-Iranian competition for dominance over Deir Ezzor.
