The people of the Al-Aziziya neighborhood in the city of Hasakah launched a volunteer campaign to clean and rehabilitate Abdul Saleh School, in preparation for the start of the school year, with the participation of the neighborhood’s residents and a number of volunteers from the residents.

The campaign included cleaning classrooms, playgrounds and corridors, removing dust and waste, in addition to carrying out simple work to improve the appearance of the school and prepare it to receive students at the start of school.

In the same context, the people of the Eastern Al-Nashwa neighborhood launched a similar campaign to clean and refine the surroundings of Walid Nofal School, as part of civil initiatives aimed at supporting the educational process and contributing to improving the school environment.

These popular initiatives coincide with the Directorate of Education in Hasakah continuing the maintenance and rehabilitation of a number of schools, in addition to distributing textbooks to educational complexes in preparation for delivering them to schools.

Students’ parents hope that these efforts will contribute to providing a better school environment and preparing schools to receive children, which will support their return to school and the regularity of the educational process after years of difficulties and interruptions.
