Thwarting an attempt to smuggle 150 bags of flour in Tal Brak and seizing a vehicle suspected of being used

Tal Barak district police, in cooperation with special forces, thwarted an attempt to smuggle 150 bags of flour, which were stored inside a warehouse near the Al-Naasan Junction, and also seized a car of the type «Inter» suspected of being used to transport the seized quantities.

The director of the Tal Barak area, Shayesh Al-Mutaib, said that the seized quantity of flour was produced by the General Grains Corporation – Qamishli branch, and was prepared for smuggling towards Deir Ezzor Governorate.

Al-Mutaib explained that the necessary arrests were organized against the violators, and the quantity of flour and the compound were seized, in preparation for completing the legal procedures and handing over the seized items to the competent authorities.

This operation comes within the framework of measures aimed at protecting subsidized basic materials, reducing their monopoly and smuggling, and ensuring their access to people through official channels.
