Over the past two days, SDF have arrested several Daesh sleeper cells in the towns of Granij and Al-Jardi, in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. A D24 correspondent said that the move was executed after SDF recieved intelligence data suggeting the presence of Daesh sleeper cells and their readiness to carry out attacks against SDF personnel in the two towns. More than 14 Daesh members were arrested, including Abu Ali Al Iraqi and three local affilaites from Abu Hamam town.
There are many Daesh local fighters in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor, some of whom have joined the ranks of SDF.
