Recently, prices of materials and goods have increased significantly in the Deir Ezzor governorate. The residents are unable to provide minimum means of life amidst poor economic conditions and the lack of jobs.
Traders attributed the prices increase to taxes imposed by the 4th Division at checkpoints to restrict the traders and share their profits. Given that, the traders increase the prices of materials to cover their loss.
The Deir Ezzor 24 Network spotted the increase of prices of diaries significantly with the increase of prices of cattle.
The price of sheep cheese reached 9,000 Syrian pounds (SYP) per kilo and cow cheese reached 8,000 SYP per kilo.
The price of cheese yoghurt reached 1,800 SYP and cow yoghurt reached 1,100 SYP per kilo. Prices of materials increased significantly in the area.
Residents continue to complain about poor economic conditions amidst expensiveness. The residents appeal to concerned authorities to improve life conditions with no repsonse.
