The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor in Deir Ezzor, in coordination with the Emergency Response Committee, began implementing the plan for the voluntary return of affected families to their homes, following the decline in the level of the Euphrates River and the improvement of conditions in the areas that were damaged by rising water.
The Directorate announced the closure of the first shelters designated to receive those affected, namely Al Tatbekat Center and the Omar bin Al-Khattab Center, after they were completely evacuated of residents, while the return of families residing in the Salem Darwish Center continues in preparation for its closure in the coming hours.
Those in charge of the operation explained that families began returning to their homes voluntarily after conducting field tours to ensure the safety of the homes and the possibility of living in them again, in a step that reflects improved conditions and the gradual return of stability to the affected areas.
The Directorate of Social Affairs and Labor confirmed its continued efforts to follow up on the conditions of affected families and provide them with the necessary support, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, with the aim of reducing humanitarian burdens and ensuring the safe and stable return of people in various areas of the governorate
