Opening of a project to cultivate the Euphrates River with fish in Deir Ezzor

The Martyr Engineer Hudhayfah Ghdayyer Project for fish farming on the Euphrates River was opened in Deir Ezzor Governorate, in a move aimed at supporting the development of fish wealth and enhancing fish production in the governorate.

The project is being implemented in partnership between the General Authority for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Manora Holding Company, as part of efforts aimed at developing fisheries and investing in water resources, which contributes to increasing production and supporting the fisheries sector.

The opening of the project was attended by the Director General of the General Authority for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Dr. Habib Al-Abdullah, along with a number of stakeholders and local activists in the governorate.

The project comes within the framework of efforts to enhance the use of the Euphrates River’s water resources and develop the fish farming sector to support local production and contribute to the development of fish wealth in Deir Ezzor.
