As part of the emergency response efforts for those affected by the rise in the level of the Euphrates River, the Emergency Relief Department of the Ministry of Emergencies and Disaster Management distributed 2,340 food packages to affected families in several areas of the Deir Ezzor countryside, as part of the aid provided by the UAE to support those affected, which amounts to a total of 8,500 food packages.
The distribution process included multiple districts, including: Al-Mraiya, Hatla, Jadeed Bakara, Al-Sabha, Al-Dhala, Mathloum, Marrat , Jadeed Ekidat, Tabyia Jazira, Al-Tiana, Shanan, and Al-Jama.
Distribution operations are expected to continue in the coming days in Deir Ezzor Governorate, and will later expand to include affected families in Raqqa Governorate as well. The aim of this initiative is to strengthen the humanitarian response process and ensure that aid reaches those who deserve it appropriately, in addition to reducing the living burdens on affected families and meeting their basic food needs.
