Deir Ezzor Governorate announced the formation of a specialized technical committee to inspect a number of proposed sites for the construction of temporary emergency military bridges, as part of emergency response measures to the repercussions resulting from the rise in the water level of the Euphrates River and the need to strengthen the connection between the two banks of the river.

The committee includes representatives from the General Secretariat of Deir Ezzor Governorate, Civil Defense, the Technical Services Directorate, military engineering teams, and the General Organization for Road Transport – Deir Ezzor Branch, with the aim of conducting the necessary technical studies and evaluating sites nominated for the project.

The committee aims to select the most appropriate location for the construction of a temporary bridge that will facilitate movement and the transfer of services between the two banks of the Euphrates, thereby mitigating the effects of the current situation and enhancing the continuity of basic services for residents.

The committee is scheduled to submit its technical report in the near future, in preparation for taking the necessary executive measures and starting construction work on the bridge at the site that will be approved
