The Popular Defense militia increased salaries of its injured fighters who sustained full or partial disability.
The commander of the militia and Firas al-Iraqiyah commander of the National Defense (ND) militia agreed to increase the militias’ injured fighters’ salaries. The 60,000-80,000 Syrian pounds salaries increase included the fighters whose injury percent ranges between 70 and 79 percent.
Those fighters whose disability ranges between 80 and 100 percent will receive salaries ranging between 70,000, and 90,000 Syrian pounds.
The popular or local defense militia includes fighters who age 40 years old and above. When the Syrian Revolution broke out, the militia coordinated with the ND militia to oppress demonstrators and implement direct orders by the Assad forces.
