Yesterday, ISIS arrested twenty young men at the market of the city of al-Mayadeen, east Deir Ezzor countryside, and then circulated them to its Hisbah office in the city.
The arrested young men were accused of violating ISIS Islamic code such as shaving off their beard, the way they get dressed and not using Miswak (A traditional and natural alternative to the modern toothbrush). As a result, they were fined instead of being forced to dig trenches, cook or transport weaponry to ISIS members on the frontlines in the province, which had been ISIS policy when dealing with such cases it considers as “violations”.
A significant number of arrested civilians whom ISIS deployed to its frontlines to dig trenches, mainly in the vicinity of Deir Ezzor military airport, have lost their lives in concealed and mysterious circumstances, with the group remaining discreet about their situation and not handing over the bodies to their families under the pretext that it is incapable to discover them.
