In the past few days, Iran has opened a new Husseiniyah in Hatlah town, which is located at the northern entrance of Deir Ezzor city, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
According to our correspondent, Iranian figures of Hezbollah militia, leaders of al-Baqir militia, members of the Assad regime and a large number of foreign and local Shiites attended the opening ceremony of the Husseiniyah.
During the ceremony, shiite rituals known as al-Latim (slapping) and wailing were performed, and candies were distributed with leaflets containing Shiite ideas.
The Husseiniyah was established with financial support from the “Sons of the Crescent”, some of the town’s people known for being Shiites.
It is indicated that Iran has intensified its settlement activities in Deir Ezzor at all religious, cultural, military and even economic levels.
