More than 100 civilians went to the city of Al-Mayadin to file complaints against Lieutenant Ali Al-Zein from Jableh in the countryside of Lattakia, along with his group of 50 members who were arrested, on charges related to the theft and looting of a number of from Buqrus and Al-Mayadin, in conjunction with the arrest of members of the Fourth Division while carrying out a theft operation in the Mayadin.
According to the residents, the group raided the homes of civilians in Deir Ezzor countryside almost daily, with the aim of stealing money and jewelry, and threatening the residents if they lodged complaints.
During their raids, the elements accuse the homeowners of cases of terrorism, smuggling, or communicating with armed groups, which causes panic among the people, and leads them to pay huge sums to get rid of them.
