The so-called a-Nujabaa Movement exploits the poor life conditions of civilians in the Deir Ezzor badiya. The militia exploits the civilians to dig tunnels ,and fortification on the frontlines with Daesh in return for 15,000 Syrian pounds per day.
The Deir Ezzor 24 Network spotted people’s resentment and fear from the al-Nujabaa militia deploying to the area, especially as the militia is sectarian and involved in crimes and abuse. Earlier, the militia committed a crime in al-Raqa badiya.
The al-Nujabaa militia has recently been based in al-Masrab and al-Tibni badiya. The militia is one of the largest factions of the Iraqi Mobilization Forces. It has strong relations with the Lebanese Hezbollah militia and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps. The militia backed the Assad forces in battles and contributed to controlling the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo in late 2016.
