DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
Sporadic clashes broke out yesterday evening between two clans in the city of Al-Ashara in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, according to a DeirEzzor24 network reporter.
According to the reporter, the clashes took place after the killing of two young men yesterday, one of whom was called “Bariq Al-Sayel” from the “Al-Jamil” clan and a group commander in the National Defense Militia, and the other was Azouz Al-Hassan.
He added that the problem was renewed months after “Al-Sayel” mistakenly killed a young man from the “Jaber” clan at the Defense Militia headquarters in the city of Al-Ashara, turning the problem into a tribal conflict fueled by militias affiliated with Assad’s forces and the Russian and Iranian forces with weapons and ammunition.
A large number of Deir Ezzor residents in areas controlled by the Assad regime have joined multiple militias there, but problems between the militias often turn into tribal disputes due to the tribal-based societal fabric in Deir Ezzor.
