DeirEzzor24 exclusive report :
The majority of NDF militiamen refused to settle their status , as only 150 of them joined the reconciviliation program.
In this context, the commander of the National Defense Militia in Deir Ezzor, Firas al-Iraqiya, left for Damascus, where he met Bashar al-Assad and his officials, and returned with an administrative decision to dissolve the militia, except for those under the settlement, as they will be sent to the 17th and 37th divisions.
In the meantime, those who have meditators will be sent to the Military Security Branch, the People’s Army or the Military Police, while the rest within the militia were asked to submit documents consisting of a non-judgmental paper and a statement from the Recruitment Division, and they received assurances from “Al-Iraqiya” that their status would remain the same.
The commanders of the Assad forces refuse to completely disband the militia, according to its secret activities that contribute to funding Assad’s operations and its military role in supporting him.
