“Hamid Mohammed al-Dha’if” was killed today, Monday (June 1, 2020) by unknown assailants in Al-Breiha town market in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.

Our correspondent said that “al-Dha’if” was shot by unknown assailants while being at the sheep market in Breiha town.

“Al-Dha’if” is a comeen cheif “Mayor” of one of Deir Ezzor countryside villages, and he is from Gharibah village north of Deir Ezzor.

Such operations bear the hallmarks of Daesh, that carries out occasional killings, robberies and bombings in the villages and towns of Deir Ezzor (east of the Euphrates). Also the organization has threatened before to kill all those who work with the autonomous administration unless they leave their jobs.
