Pro-Assad’s forces sources said that about 14 members of Liwaa al-Quds and the National Defense Militia (NDF) were killed in an attack by Daesh on a joint outpost in the southern Deir Ezzor badiyah.
According to the sources, the group launched a surprise attack on vehicles carrying militiamen, while they were heading to a joint outpost in the vicinity of al-Shoula area southern Deir Ezzor.
Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said that an unprecedented alert prevailed Deir Ezzor city following the attack? as the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia (IRGC) sent reinforcements from the vicinity of the 137th Brigade to the site of the attack.
This attack is the second of its kind in less than 15 days, as nearly 30 members of Assad forces’ 4th Division were killed in late December, when Daesh attacked buses carrying members of Assad’s forces between Al-Shoula and al-Sukhna areas.
