Last night, Friday, unidentified gunmen attacked a military checkpoint of the Syrian democratic forces in Hajin city in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
Our correspondent confirmed that the gunmen are believed to be Daesh elements, and there were heavy clashes between the two sides, with no reports about the casualties.
The correspondent noted that the attacked military checkpoint is known as Tal Al-Jaabi checkpoint, and is located at the entrance of Hajin city.
The correspondent added that the Syrian democratic forces responded to the attack by firing an RPG, in addition to heavy gunfire with light and medium weapons.
It is noteworthy that Daesh cells are active in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, where they carry out security operations against the Syrian democratic forces in the region.
