DeirEzzor24 network monitored the spread of arms trade in Deir Ezzor governorate, and at a high density, during the previous period, and the majority of weapons are automatic rifles and pistols.
According to a special source for DeirEzzor24, the recent boom in arms trade in Deir Ezzor came as a result of the sale of weapons by members of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia, in addition to the entry of large quantities of weapons for the purpose of trade through the city of Al-Qusayr in Homs governorate.
The city of Al-Mayadeen is considered the largest market for selling these weapons through leaders of the Revolutionary Guard militia, among whom is known “Tariq Yassin Al-Mayouf”.
