Today marks the yearly anniversary of the death of Abdul Razaq Darwish, Abu Haytham, who was one of the most prominent media activists in the province of Deir Ezzor. He was from Quiyah city.
He studied economic and pursued his master degree, but he had to stop and join the revolution in 2011. He was a notable rebel from the Quriyah city. He was among the first who appeared on TV and made the best they can to expose the crimes of Assad regime .
Assad’s forces ambushed and arrested him along with his comrades. Then, they transported him to a military hospital where he was executed. His corpse was later handed back to his family who held a massive funeral procession for him.
