For the third consecutive day, the Technical Services Directorate in Raqqa Governorate continues to implement work to address the risks resulting from excavations and quarries left behind the body of the Kdairan Dam in the town of Mansoura in the western countryside of Raqqa.
The work included the construction of a support barrier and the filling of areas classified as hazardous using appropriate materials, as part of measures aimed at enhancing the stability of the area and protecting the dam body from any future impacts or damage that may result from these excavations.
The Directorate confirmed that these works come within the preventive maintenance program for vital facilities, which contributes to maintaining the safety of the Kdairan Dam and ensuring its continued operation efficiently and safely, given its importance in serving the district and supporting its water infrastructure.
