This morning, Friday (July 17), the International Coalition-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) launched a raid campaign in villages and towns in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, east of the Euphrates River. The SDF arrested dozens of people, according to the Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
The SDF started the campaign from three directions. The first from the city of Al-Suwar in the northern Deir Ezzor countryside, the second from the city of Hajin, eastern Deir Ezzor, and the third from the Nahiyat Al-Kasrah in the western Deir Ezzor countryside.
Local sources noted that the campaign is one of the largest campaigns that the SDF launched in Deir Ezzor. SDF fighters said that the campaign targeted Daesh groups and members.
Local sources reported to Deir Ezzor 24 that among the detainees were people who are not affiliated with Daesh and had no military action.
This campaign is part of security campaigns that the SDF and the International Coalition launch from time to time to search for Daesh groups and members who hide in residential areas.
