Some Iranian officials, along with military commanders of Iranian militias, opened a new Husseiniyah in Deir Ezzor city, according to D24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent pointed out that the husseiniyah was opened in Harabish neighborhood in the eastern part of the city near Deir Ezzor military airport.
He added that the building the militias took as a Husseiniyah in Harabish neighborhood is one of the large houses in the neighborhood, and was confiscated before its owner became wanted for the Assad forces, and was transformed into a Husseiniyah, and various Shia flags were raised on its roof.
Our correspondent confirmed that as soon as the Husseiniyah had been declared opened, guard posts and barricades were immediately erected in the vicinity of the Husseiniyah. And the administration of the Husseiniyah was entrusted to a person from al-Jafra village called “Abu Fatima” who has converted to Shiite faith and was a military commander in the Syrian Hezbollah militia.
