On Tuesday, January 26, a number of officers of Assad forces’ military leadership in Deir Ezzor province made an inspection tour in Deir Ezzor badiyah, a source told Deir Ezzor 24 network.
Helicopters and warplanes intensively overflew the southern Deir Ezzor badiyah during the tour, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent said.
According to the source, the tour was no more than half an hour, amid heavy presence of Assad forces. The officers who participated in the tour included: the commander of military operations in the eastern region Major General “Nizar al-Khedher”, the commander of the national defense militia (NDF) “Firass al-Jaham”, the head of the military security branch Brig. Gen. “Ibrahim al-Khalil”, and the commander of the Republican Guard forces and the fourth division in Deir Ezzor Brigadier General “Mufid”.
The aim of this tour was to boost the morale of Assad’s forces and militias, following Daesh recent attacks, that killed and injured dozens of members in the past few days.
