The Ministry of Energy is working on the preparation of a mobile power station in the city of Derbasiyeh, with the aim of temporarily providing electrical supply to the Olouk Water Station, which is the main source of drinking water in Al-Hasakah Governorate, in addition to supplying homes and basic services in the area.
The station is scheduled to be connected in the coming days to the Ras al-Ain area, which is the main connection point. The installation of new protective equipment for the transformer has been completed, and the necessary technical tests have been conducted to ensure the station’s safe and stable return to operation.
In parallel, maintenance work continues at the Derbasiyeh (66/20) power plant, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, with the aim of restarting it as soon as possible and enhancing the stability of the electrical supply in the area.
These measures come within the framework of efforts made to ensure the continuity of pumping drinking water from the Olouk station, and to improve the situation of electricity and vital services in Al-Hasakah Governorate.
