The medical sector in Deir Ezzor city is deteriorating as death cases increased in the city’s hospitals and health centers due to the lack of medical staffs, medicines and medical supplies.
Recently, a landmine exploded at the Euphrates river bank in Al-Bughayliya village in Deir Ezzor countryside, due to which a fisherman died and another one lost his leg. Today, a similar incident took place and other people lost their legs and were taken to al-Assad hospital. The injured’s health is expected to worsen as the hospital is unable to provide them with the necessary treatment.
Medical devices and supplies in Al-Assad hospital were stolen by Iran and Assad’s militias to support the military hospital and the hospitals of Iranian militias.
Russia and its proxy militias planted mines at river crossings to prevent smuggling through these crossings.
