The MONITOR Organization operating in the Deir Ezzor countryside east of the Euphrates said that it will launch a campaign to sterilize houses against insects in the areas of al-Suwar, al-Busaira, and Khasham in the eastern and northern Deir Ezzor countryside in cooperation with local councils.
The organization called the residents to allow specialized teams to enter their houses to sterilize them against insects to eliminate the sand flies that transmit leishmania. The organization called the residents to follow the instructions the teams will provide.
The organization noted that the pesticides that will be sprayed are safe to human’s health.
Earlier, the Deir Ezzor 24 Network followed up with the spreading of Leishmania in the Deir Ezzor countryside and launched online and field campaigns to raise residents’ awareness.
