Today, a member of Assad forces’ 17th Division was seriously injured in a clash between members of the division and gunmen on the bank controlled by the SDF, opposite to their position in Al-Masrab town in the western Deir Ezzor countryside, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent added that because of the clash, Assad forces’ 4th Division sent reinforcements to the site and closed the river belt opposite to the firing site.
It is not the first time for Assad’s forces to be targeted from the side controlled by the SDF, but until now it’s not known who is behind these attacks.
