On Thursday, Russian aircraft perpetrated a massacre in the Mayadin city east of Deir Ezzor, killing at least 20 civilians.
The airstrikes hit densely populated areas in the center of the city, including the vicinity of the Municipality Oven, the Jaysh Street and two schools where Iraqi displaced families were residing.
D24 correspondent said that most of the casualties took place in the Abdl Jabar School in the center of the city which is home to displaced families from Iraq who fled the battles in Mosul, adding that the death toll might rise because many of the wounded are in a critical condition.
The aircraft also bombed Daesh-controlled neighborhoods of Deir Ezzor city, the Panoramaa, Mount Thurdah, Hatlah, the Husseiniyah village and the outskirts of Ayash town in rural Deir Ezzor.
