A clash occurred between the 47th Regiment militia and the National Defense (ND) militia in the city of al-Bukamal, eastern Deir Ezzor.
The reason for the clash is the ND militia’ fighters patrolling al-Bukamal at the time of 47th Regiment militia’ patrolling. This bothered the 47th Regiment militia’ patrols in the al-Ma’ari street in al-Bukamal. The patrol fighters opened fire at an ND’ militia patrol. Later, patrols gathered in the al-Fayhaa center, amidst ongoing tension.
The 47th Regiment militia belongs to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps militia and it operates in al-Bukamal.
