The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Al-Hasakah Governorate carried out field tours that included a number of grain centers, including the silos of Qamishli, Al-Qahtaniyah, Tal Maarouf, Kabka, Hettain, and Amuda, as part of preparations for the 2026 wheat season.

The Directorate explained that the tours included conducting an inventory of available stores and installing them in the first place, in addition to implementing technical inspections of silos and mini-silos to ensure their operational readiness, and monitoring technical malfunctions and deficiencies in preparation for addressing them before the start of the agricultural season.

The Directorate stressed that these measures aim to ensure the readiness of receiving centers and ensure the efficient reception of farmers’ crops, which contributes to supporting the agricultural process and preserving the strategic stock of grains.

In the same context, the Ministry of Economy and Industry carried out a field tour of a number of bakeries in the governorate, including Ras Al Ain General Bakery, Al Jawza Bakery, and Al Manajir Bakery, with the aim of following up on the situation of work and supervising the ongoing rehabilitation operations of the ovens.

The tour focused on the supply aspects, by examining the mechanisms for distributing flour and matching them with the allocated quantities, in addition to ensuring adherence to standard production specifications, whether in terms of the weight of the package or the quality of the loaf.

The Ministry also issued a series of food observations aimed at controlling the production process, reducing waste, and ensuring that support reaches those who deserve it in the best possible way, which contributes to raising production efficiency and improving the quality of bread provided to citizens.
