The DeirEzzor24 news network revealed new methods used by military security to blackmail real estate office owners in the city of Al-Mayadin, in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside.
Our reporter said that Military Security is now imposing royalties on real estate office owners amounting to 4 million Syrian pounds for every house they sell, in exchange for granting them security approval to sell the property, after Military Security issued an order prohibiting buying, selling and renting to any person before obtaining approval from the city’s branch.
The security branches of the Assad regime impose illegal fees on the people in a way that serves the leaders and members of the branches.
