The surgery department at the National Hospital in Al-Mayadin was reopened yesterday after being out of service for more than 10 years, according to a report by Dei Ezzor24 Network.
Our correspondent stated that the surgical operations department at the National Hospital in Al-Mayadin has resumed its activities after a hiatus of over a decade, marking a significant medical development.
The Director of Health in Deir Ezzor, Dr. Youssef Al-Sattam, performed the first surgical operation in the newly reactivated department, assisted by the hospital’s medical staff, during a field visit in which Dr. Al-Sattam also inspected various departments to assess the quality of medical services and workflow.
Dr. Al-Sattam emphasized that this step will enhance healthcare in the Deir Ezzor countryside, reduce the burden of travel for treatment, and provide medical services to the region’s residents.
