sofyISIS informed the family of Sheikh Allawi Al Jariss Al Khatib ,Imam and preacher of the mosque of Al -Bassira,of his execution at the hands of the group after months of his arrest. Seikh Allawi faced several charges ,including his belief (Sufi). It should be noted that Al Jariss held a degree in Islamic Sharia and was a civil engineer ,he had previously served as the director of technical services in the city of Al-Bassira as well.
He had been arrested before by a leader in the ranks of ISIS named Abu Dujana Al-Ruz due to personal issues and as the province of Deir Ezzur fell completely into ISIS hands,Al-Jariss got arrested for the second time and was executed.
