Liwaa al-Quds militia commander visits al-Mayadeen amidst austere security measures

On Friday May 7, 2021, Shadi Hadeed, the commander of the Liwaa al-Quds militia visited the city of al-Mayadeen eastern Deir Ezzor to check the militia fighters.

The visit coincided with the militia’s intensified patrols on the perimeter of the Deir Ezzor-Al-Mayadeen highway and establishing temporary checkpoints in the Fayddet ibn Muwayni’. The militia established a checkpoint on the international highway.

The Liwaa al-Quds is a Russian backed militia operating in outposts in the Assad regime-controlled areas in Deir Ezzor.
