Today, Friday, the people and elders of Ash-Shahil town and the surrounding villages in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside agreed to prevent the spread of weapons in the town and nearby villages.
Deir Ezzor 24 network obtained a copy of the statement that was distributed in the markets and mosques of Ash-Shahil town east of Deir Ezzor, where its terms warn people against the irresponsible use of weapons.
According to the statement, those who fire on occasions must be held liable for the consequences when people are killed or intimidated.
The statement also indicates that if the indiscriminate shooting resulted in a killing, this would cost the perpetrator his life through the application of provisions, noting that if the shooting caused an injury, then the shooter must pay about 4 million Syrian pounds.
It is indicated that over the past two months, Deir ezzor 24 network has launched a large-scale campaign in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, urging people to prevent the spread of weapons in the region.
It is worth mentioning that Deir Ezzor 24 campaign “No Weapons” reached several areas in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, including Ash-Shahil, Al-Shaitat, Al-Suwar and Al-Bassirah, and resulted in immediate actions against the spread of weapons.
