DeirEzzor24 exclusive report:
A private source told DeirEzzor24 network that the “pilgrims” of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards militia disregarded the decisions of the Assad regime regarding the supply of wheat to the government.
The source stated that the “pilgrims” had a strong presence this year in the grain market in Deir Ezzor, especially wheat, as they bought large quantities of the wheat crop for the purpose of trade, either by smuggling it to Iraq, or by storing it in warehouses in the cities of Al-Mayadin and Albukamal in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, and waiting High prices on the black market to sell it.
He stressed that the most active pilgrims in this field are “Hajj Kamil” and “Hajj Askar”.
Since the beginning of the harvest season, the Assad regime has emphasized farmers and traders not to sell the wheat crop to anyone other than the Assad government, under penalty of a fine and severe imprisonment, and this is what the Iranian pilgrims ignored in this season.
