A state of alert has prevailed al-Bukamal city eastern Deir Ezzor since this morning, Tuesday, December 29, a source told Deir Ezzor 24 network.
Our correspondent said that vehicles belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia (IRGC) have been coming to Al-Bukamal city from different areas to participate in a ceremony the Iranian militias will held in the city in memory of the death of Qassem Soleimani, one of the most important generals Iran has lost since it entered Syria and Iraq.
According to our correspondent, Hashd Al-Shaabi militia deployed a number of its members in the vicinity of Al-Suwaiyia bridge in Al-Bukamal countryside to secure the city.
“Soleimani” was the military commander of the IRGC in Syria. He attaches great importance to Al-Bukamal city during his leadership. He was killed earlier this year by a U.S. raid as he was on his way from Al-Bukamal city to Iraqi.
