Deir Ezzor 24 exclusive:
Sources revealed to Deir Ezzor 24 network that today, Thursday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia in Deir Ezzor province sent more than 300 troops from the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside to Raqqa province.
According to the sources, the troops were sent to strengthen Assad forces’ control of new areas in Raqqa and Aleppo countrysides following the agreement with the SDF.
The sources confirmed that the Iranian militias have not sent any heavy armored vehicles or weapons to Raqqa countryside. They only sent elements to help Assad forces.
This is the first time that Iranian militias sent reinforcements to areas entered by Assad forces in the eastern Euphrates after the understandings with the SDF.
It is noteworthy that the military map in eastern Euphrates has changed considerably following successive military developments in the region, most notably, the entry of the Russian-backed Assad forces into several areas.
