There have been a great demand by farmers for wheat on the grain black markets in Deir Ezzor despite high prices, according to Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent.
Our correspondent said that the farmers of Deir Ezzor have turned to the black market to buy wheat at high prices, to deliver the amounts required from them by Assad regime’s grain corporation, after the regime’s recent campaign on farmers.
The Directorate of Agriculture and the Farmers’ Union estimated the amount of wheat required from each farmer at 200 kg per dunum, which is very high quantity compared to the dry season that affected the crops of this year.
