On Sunday, September 27, 2020, Daesh killed and injured Assad forces’ members in the Kabajeb badiya in the soutwestern Deir Ezzor countryside. Daesh ambushed a convoy of the Assad forces and Iranian militias.
Daesh ambushed the convoy as it was trying to advance towards the al-Faka, Khnayziriyah, and Hassiyah areas in the al-Masrab area from Kabajeb direction to comb al-badiya. The convoy retreated after one hour and a half-clash with Daesh.
Ten days ago, Assad forces and Iranian and Russian militias launched campaigns to comb Deir Ezzor badiya and target Daesh groups and outposts.
