People living in the areas controlled by Assad regime in the western Deir Ezzor countryside suffer from the low temperatures of winter due to the lack of heating.
The continuous power outage and the lack of diesel poses a major challenge for the residents, who need them for heating. People recieve an hour and a half of electricity a day, which causes a lack in drinking water in addition to the lack of heating.
As for oil products, the region has been experiencing a severe fuel crisis for more than two months as Assad regime has been unable to provide it, while on the black market it is available at very high prices that the average citizens cannot afford.
People of the western Deir Ezzor countryside are trapped between the power outage and lack of fuel in the face of bitter cold, with no solutions on the horizon for their problem.
