Deir Ezzor markets are experiencing a significant rise in the prices of basic materials, foodstuffs, and vegetables , with the collapse of the Syrian pound, which fell to 16,000 pounds against the dollar.
The correspondent of DeirEzzor24 network said that this increase was accompanied by the loss of most of the materials from the markets as a result of wholesalers monopolizing them, amid a state of discontent and chaos, as the price of a kilogram of sugar reached 15,000 SP, a kilogram of tea 130,000 SYP, a kilo of tomatoes 4000 SYP, and potatoes For 3500 Syrian pounds.
This significant increase came immediately after an increase approved by the Assad regime in employee salaries amounting to 100%.
