A 12-year-old girl was injured when members of the national defence (NDF) opened fire randomly in the air near their headquarters in Al-Hamidiyah neighborhood, celebrating the success of the son of Firass Al-Iraqiyeh, commander of the NDF militia in Deir Ezzor, in the general secondary examination.
This coincided with a quarrel between members of Liwaa al-Quds and the NDF in Harabish neighbourhood as a vehicle of Liwaa al-Quds was hit by stray bullets fired by the NDF.
In 2018, Al-Jaham, known as “Iraqiyeh”, tried to obtain a high school diploma by recruiting someone to take the exams in his place, but he failed, so he tried again and again, attributing his failure to a “malicious report”. He accused the inspector who exposed his cheat of corruption, and tried to frame him for moral decay by photographing him in indecent position and presenting the evidence to Assad regime’s Ministry of Education.
Civilian injuries and material damages have been recurrent every time the NDF and the “Shabiha” have celebrations, as they shoot in the air expressing their happiness, while the concerned authorities remain silent, watching without taking any deterrent measures to ensure the protection and safety of civilians.
