Today, Sunday 3-11-2019, a group of Ash-Shahil town’s people (al-Barghout Branch) arrested a gang operating under the name of Daesh in Ash-Shahil town in the eastern Deir Ezzor countryside, Deir Ezzor 24 network correspondent reported.

In the details, our correspondent said, that a group of men “al-Barghout Branch” in Ash-Shahil town ambushed a gang of robbers that were imposing taxes, and carrying out robberies and kidnappings in the area after the gang imposed a tax on a gas station owner in the town, and when 4 of them came to the gas station to collect the money, the group of al-Barghout Branch clashed with them, and were able to kill one person and catch another while the other two persons escaped.

The person who was killed is from Azzir village, from al-Watteb family, while the identity of the arrested person has not been revealed yet.

After preliminary investigations, it was found that the members of the gang are remnants of Daesh, where after the organization was ended in the region, they formed a group under the name of the organization.
