The modernization and rehabilitation work of the first Al-Hasakah bakery in the Al-Masakin neighborhood in the city of Al-Hasakah continues, under the supervision and follow-up of the branch of the Syrian Bakeries Corporation in the governorate, as part of efforts to improve the status of the production process, develop the services provided to citizens, and enhance the availability of bread, especially in the downtown neighborhoods that are witnessing an increasing need for production and sales loopholes capable of meeting daily demand.

The bakery rehabilitation project comes within the framework of a plan aimed at raising the efficiency of production facilities and improving their operational capacity, through implementing construction and civil rehabilitation works that include preparing the necessary infrastructure to receive new production lines, in cooperation with the private sector, which contributes to accelerating the pace of completion and putting the bakery into service in accordance with approved specifications and technical requirements.

According to the modernization plan, the first phase includes the installation of two production lines with a total capacity of twenty tons of bread per day. This production capacity will constitute an important addition to the city’s bread production system, help relieve pressure on existing bakeries, and improve citizens’ access to their daily basic necessities.

The project plan is not limited to initial equipment, but includes the possibility of adding a third production line in the future, according to the level of demand and actual needs, which gives the bakery flexibility in expanding its production capacity and keeping pace with changes in the volume of consumption, without the need to re-implement the project from its beginning.

One of the important aspects of the project is allocating  loopholes for direct sales to citizens, which will facilitate residents’ access to bread from the bakery site, provide an additional loophole to meet the needs of residents of the Al-Masakin neighborhood and neighboring neighborhoods, and contribute to organizing the sales process and reducing the burdens associated with obtaining the material.

The rehabilitation of the first Al-Hasakah bakery is of particular importance given its location in the Al-Masakin neighborhood. Its operation is expected to enhance the geographical coverage of bread production services and provide additional quantities serving the downtown neighborhoods, supporting distribution stability and reducing bottlenecks that may result from the concentration of demand in a limited number of bakeries.

The bakery is expected to begin providing its services to citizens immediately after the completion of construction and rehabilitation works, the completion of the installation of technical equipment, and the operation of production lines. Its return to work will constitute a new step towards developing the bakery sector in Hasakah and improving the level of services related to securing bread, as it is one of the basic commodities that affect the daily lives of citizens.

The project reflects a trend towards benefiting from partnership with the private sector in implementing rehabilitation and development work, in parallel with the Syrian Bakeries Corporation’s follow-up of technical and production aspects, with the aim of enhancing work efficiency, expanding production capacity, and better responding to the needs of citizens in the city.
